African American neighbors to create and share art

languages and generations.. Additional focus –
cross-cultural dialog on key safety issues and setting
priorities for changes in the neighborhood. . Funded
by West Bank Community Development Corporation, COMPAS
Community Arts grant, and the Carolyn Foundation.

- Talking Suitcases project:
Led workshops with Korean elders creating art about
their life stories. The art and stories were presented
first to the Korean community, then featured in the
Minnesota Women’s Press, and later at the University of
Minnesota’s Nash Gallery. Now on permanent exhibit at
the Korean Service Center. Funded by Metropolitan
Regional Arts Council and Korean Service Center.

have attended workshops in making art about their life
experiences. Also, performances of my “Talking Suitcase”
